In 1987, Larry and Donna Root founded Rooters American Maintenance, Inc. and as of 2005 has a DBA of Rooters Asphalt. Larry and Donna managed the family business for 26 years and in 2013 their son, John Garcia, and his wife Jill took over. John has been involved in the business for 24 years, and is still an active operator/superintendent for the company.
Early on, Rooters centered its business on asphalt maintenance. We continue to do sealing, crack filling and striping yet today. In 1996, the company decided to branch out into asphalt paving, and has since increased their area of specialties to include athletic tracks and field events, road construction, milling, and lime and cement stabilization.
Rooters also does site construction, which includes concrete work and storm sewer installation to name a few. Rooters has the bonding capabilities for all size jobs. Our main jobs are of commercial size, but we also service residential customers as well. We continuously increase our equipment and truck fleet to allow us to accommodate all size jobs, from commercial to residential.
